HEC Students for Sustainability organizes the HEC Climate Nights, a series of events dedicated to climate change.
Climate change may be the defining challenge of our generation. We are releasing unprecedented amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and thus global average temperatures keep rising, threatening the conditions that allow humans to thrive. At the same time, we are seeing unprecedented commitments of governments and businesses around the world to address the climate challenge. To make this enormous topic accessible to all of us, HEC Students for Sustainability is organizing the HEC Climate Nights, a series of events dedicated to climate change.
We invite you to join us for Part I of the Climate Nights series: “Climate Change in 2018 - Where are we now?” on Nov 7th at 19:30 in Amphi Bellon (S-building). When did all of this start? What is climate change, actually? And where are we now in 2018? Darius Seiller, a HEC '18 alumnus and co-founder and CEO of The SASI Co., a sustainability consulting firm, will give a lecture that should equally inform those of you who are new to the subject and update the views of those of you who consider themselves climate leaders. There will also be a discussion of our own role in this huge challenge in small groups during the conference.
