Biography
Amer Madi is Associate Professor (Education Track) at HEC Paris. His teaching areas include leadership, leadership development, group dynamics, and organizational psychology. He currently teaches in the MBA program.
Concurrently, as a leadership consultant and executive coach, Amer also works with executives and emerging leaders to help them reflect on how they show up and exercise leadership, and understand how this fits within their broader lives and who they are as individuals. By creating a safe and reflective space, he helps people become more self-aware so they can leverage their personal strengths to thrive, grow, and become more fulfilled at work and in their personal lives.
Amer holds a PhD and an MSc in Organizational Behavior from INSEAD, and a BBA from the American University of Beirut. His research interests center on understanding how people pursue and find deeply meaningful work in a rapidly changing world, and how broader socio-cultural structures facilitate or hinder this pursuit. Having grown up and lived in many different countries across the globe (such as London, Paris, Beirut, Dubai, Muscat, and Singapore), Amer is acutely aware of both the importance and challenges of managing and negotiating cultures and identities in today’s world.
