Biography
David Twardowski earned his Ph.D. from the University of Innsbruck, Austria, and later joined the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (LSE) as a post-doctoral research fellow. His research primarily focuses on management control and performance measurement practices in the sector of international development. During his projects, David has closely collaborated with a number of large multinational Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Nepal, Bangladesh, Rwanda and Tanzania. More recently, David’s research interests also include the tensions surrounding accounting in high-reliability organizations (HROs) and the effects of the digital revolution on roles and professions of accounting. David teaches management accounting and control.
