Our Student Availability
This page is dedicated to helping companies understand when students are available for internships and full-time placements. Internships are at the heart of our curriculum, offering an excellent way to assess a student's potential, whether they are Masters graduates or MBAs. Interns bring energy to your teams and then act as ambassadors for your company on campus. By working on meaningful projects, they contribute to achieving your objectives.
You can submit your internship and career opportunities on Handshake or recruit HEC students at our career events.
The length of each internship is flexible, ranging from a minimum of six weeks to a maximum of six months, depending on how a student structures their program. Many students, particularly those from France, undertake an internship abroad for at least 20 weeks during their studies at HEC Paris. For students admitted directly into M1, the requirement is 10 weeks.
Students are available for various types of internships, as well as full-time placements:
- A hands-on or Summer internship
- Gap year internships consisting of two six-month periods
- End-of-Study internships, often serving as pre-employment opportunities
- Full-time placement
These students are available for end-of-study internships in April or June and last until January of the following year (an average duration of four to six months). Specialized master's students are also available for full time placement starting in April or June.
Our MBA program lasts 16 months and has two intakes: one in September and one in January. Depending on their intake, students are available for summer internships or for longer end-of-study internships. MBA participants are available for full-time placements in either January or April, again depending on their intake.
