UT Dallas ranks HEC Paris amongst the best European Business School in academic research
The Naveen Jindal School of Management has released The UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings™ for 2014, providing a benchmark to measure faculty research productivity at business schools around the globe. HEC Paris is ranked 64th worldwide and 5th in Europe. This is proof of the hard work of HEC Paris faculty, and a result of their ability to publish their articles in leading journals. HEC Paris’ academic reputation is determined, to a great extent, by the quality and relevance of the knowledge developed by its faculty.
Research is one of the main activities carried out at a world-class business schools. At HEC Paris, the vitality of research can be measured against proven performance criteria: 130 articles have been published in academic journals since 2012, 200 scientific presentations have been made by our researchers over the same period, and twenty books were published in 2013. Our faculty has also received numerous awards over the years.
The UT Dallas’ Naveen Jindal School of Management has created a database to track publications in 24 leading business journals, such as ‘Journal of Finance’, ‘The Accounting Review’, ‘MIS Quarterly’ and ‘Journal of International Business Studies’ amongst others. The database contains all titles and author affiliations of papers published in these journals since 1990. The information in the database has been used to provide the top 100 business school rankings since 1990, based on the total contributions of faculty.
The rankings document a significant increase in business faculty research over the past nine years. The 100 schools in this ranking have produced a combined total of 9,174 articles in the 24 leading journals during the most recent ranking period. That number has risen significantly from the 5,879 articles published during articles used in the 2000 – 2004 rankings.
