[HEC Incubator] A new selection of ambitious & high-impact startups!
Welcome to the HEC Incubator's Summer 2020 batch: Anomia, Ayro, HD Rain, Lakaa, Mercateam, Omny, Reglo, Shomi, Turgo and Velyvelo. This new batch is composed of 10 startups, including one from our partner Akwa Group, and made its debut on July 2nd at Station F. This is one of the bigger batches since the program opened at Station F in 2017, but also one of the most responsible!
It was with undisguised emotion that the 24 entrepreneurs did their onboarding at the incubator at Station F on Thursday, July 2. The uncertainties of the last few months, and the postponement of the spring batch, made this gathering all the more festive and convivial.
In the morning, the entire HEC Incubator team presented the program: Antoine, Lisa, Anna, Romain and Philadelphe! Then came lunch, the administrative onboarding and the installation of desks and offices strategically ensured to facilitate the integration of new startups in the 700 square meters open space! The day ended with a pitching session in front of the entire incubator community.
Below is the presentation of these 10 new startups in sectors as varied as dog food or shipping, but with the common characteristic of being impactful for at least 7 of them!
Antoine Leprêtre: "We are happy to welcome this new wave of impact startups. Today's entrepreneurs are taking environmental and social issues into account starting at the design stage of their offer. This is becoming the norm and is no longer an element of differentiation."
Anomia, co-founded by Valentin Tonti-Bernard (MSc X-HEC Entrepreneurs) and Clément Tonti-Bernard at the HEC Startup Launchpad, is developing a business training program for lawyers.
AYRO, founded by Romain Grandsart (X-HEC Entrepreneurs), designs and delivers Oceanwings®, an outperforming wingsail that cuts maritime shipping costs and greenhouse gas emissions. Ayro is the spin-off of the naval architecture firm.
HD Rain, co-founded by Ruben Hallali and François Mercier-Tigrine, and recently joined by Jordan Brajon, provides very high resolution weather measurements and forecasts based on innovative data sources for weather-sensitive areas and economic activities, which can be deployed worldwide.
The famous Lakaa team, from the HEC Startup Launchpad, winner of the X-HEC Entrepreneurs Demo Day, Dorian Wansek (H20), Baptiste Frelot (H20) and Adrien Lefebvre have implemented a global solution for employee environmental engagement. They are joined by Julie Voussure, in charge of communication.
Launched in early 2020, Mercateam is the first collaborative tool that helps plants track the skills, training and assignment of operators to their jobs to facilitate day-to-day operations in the field. In other words, Kévin Rouvière (HEC Paris / Supaéro) and Adrien Laurentin (met at the startup studio OPEO) are digitizing all human-centered processes in the industry by eliminating the need for Excel and Word.
Omny, co-founded by Mario Campos, Augustin Gaillot and Félix Perreau, is the next generation of IT infrastructure for SMEs. A simple dashboard to create desktops in the Cloud in 5 minutes, deploy them on any mobile device and centralise their management. A highly esthetic connection base, the OmnyPod, is included to access the Cloud desktops in the company's offices. Omny divides desktop management time by a factor of two and offers high mobility to every SME.
With Reglo, Basile and Maxime Laigre have decided to launch a new brand of tasty dog food using insect protein: just as nutritious as traditional meat, without the environmental cost. They are joined by Elina Parent.
Shomi, by Samy Therain (X-HEC Entrepreneurs) and Alexis Pony helps brands test their advertising on Zillennials (Gen Z + Millennials).
Turgo, founded by Adhémar Autrand, launches the crowd-lending platform that ends overdraft fees! Adhémar joined the incubator with Aurore de Solages.
Finally, VelyVelo, our partner Akwa Group’s startup, decarbonizes last mile delivery. VelyVelo has designed an e-bike adapted to delivery requirements.
The HEC Incubator currently supports 65 startups within Station F. The support program relies on numerous HEC experts and professors to help companies accelerate their development and save time. A call for applications is launched every three months. Stay tuned!
