Bruce Thomson
Bruce leads efforts globally at S&P Global Ratings to more effectively integrate social factors, risks, and insights into the company’s sustainable finance analyses, credit ratings, and research/thought leadership.
He has advised the world’s most recognizable brands on strategies to optimize their social performance and global supply chains to manage ESG risk, promote human rights, and create value. And he has worked with leading asset management firms with over $150B AuM on pre-investment ESG risk due diligence as well as investment stewardship, supporting value protection and creation through ESG strategy implementation.
Bruce Co-founded and led BrightLabel, a supply chain transparency and sustainability platform for the textiles and apparel sector. And he has a deep background in trade policy, project management, and international development, having worked as an economist at the Office of the US Trade Representative, the World Bank, the UN, and other private and public organizations.
