Our future Master’s graduates share their favorite moment from their time at HEC Paris

In the rich tapestry of life, memories are the threads that weave our experiences together. They are so much more than just moments captured in time – they reflect who we are and what we value the most. Each memory holds a piece of our story, shapes our perceptions, guides our choices, and defines our relationships.

Making memories is about immersing ourselves in the present, seizing the fleeting moments, and cherishing the joy, love, and laughter they bring. Whether it's a shared laugh with friends or a celebration of our achievements with loved ones, these memories become the treasures we carry with us throughout life's journey.

With the graduation ceremony fast approaching, we reached out to some of our Master’s students and asked them to share a favorite moment that has defined their time and experience at HEC Paris.

"I will always treasure the incredible friendships formed during my time at HEC Paris, especially during our Master's study trip and the farewell dinner. These moments allowed us to strengthen our bonds and create lasting memories. These are friendships I will cherish long after graduation."

Inès - Master in Sustainability and Social Innovation

"Winning the World Inter Universities Championship in Rome with FHR (Filles HEC Rugby) in 2021 holds special significance for me, as it highlighted the strength of the bond uniting all the FHR members. I'll never forget the feeling when we lifted the cup. We were much more than just 10 players, much more than a simple rugby team - we were like sisters together!"

"My favorite moment was the HEC ski trip over the Christmas break. It was a fantastic start to the second semester, filled with new friendships, valuable connections, and exhilarating days on the slopes. The friends I made during that trip remained my closest circle throughout the year."

Karolis - Master in International Finance

"One sunny afternoon, my friends and I decided to escape the confines of the classroom and embrace the tranquility of nature at a secluded spot by the lake on campus. Time seemed to slow down, and we embarked on a joyful photo session. With hearts full of happiness and memory cards filled with snapshots of our afternoon escapade, we left the lake feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the simple joys of friendship and nature at HEC Paris."

Vinaya - Master in Economics & Finance

"A fun memory is from the friendly football match hosted by the Spain Association. I couldn't form a team based solely on my country, Nepal, but I stumbled upon a diverse group of players from Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Argentina, and beyond. Embracing our global camaraderie, we proudly dubbed ourselves the "Rest of the World" team. Who needs borders when you've got football skills!"

Reena - Master in Strategic Management

"One of the highlights of this year was our London Study Trip in early September, which offered a wonderful opportunity to bond with the rest of the Master in International Finance cohort. The trip was invaluable not just from a career development standpoint, but also for getting to know each other better and kicking off the academic year on a high note."

Gaia - Master in International Finance

"One of my most memorable experiences was the final day of the Startup Launchpad, when all 50 startups from our program pitched to a jury VCs and entrepreneurs. Our startup, Resilient, which helps companies assess their exposure to climate risks and develop resilience plans, was awarded first prize. Thanks to the Launchpad prize, we are now incubated at Station F, and are thrilled to continue with this venture."

Louise - Master in Sustainability and Social Innovation

"My favorite moment at HEC was my trip to Tunisia with the HEC Monde Arabe association, just before COVID. This experience is especially significant to me because it forged lasting friendships and inspired me to take on the presidency of the association the following year."

Selma - Master of Science X - HEC Entrepreneurs

As our Master’s graduates continue on their journey, we hope that they will hold onto these positive memories. That they will bolster their resilience during difficult times, become a source of inspiration during moments of doubt and serve as beacons of light that will illuminate their paths as they move forward.
