The Alma Mater Index 2017: HEC Paris Is World Number Three

HEC Paris leapt two places to third in the latest Alma Mater Index:Global Executives 2017. This index by the Times Higher Education, classifies business schools and universities in which chief executives of the world’s top-generating companies have studied.

THE education Ranking 2017

HEC Paris is just behind Harvard and Stanford universities. It is Europe’s top-ranking institution and the only business school in the top ten of this prestigious classification.With 12 chief executives in all (seven of whom are running French multinationals), the business school improves on its previous performance in 2013 and is just behind Stanford.

Almost half of Fortune Global 500 chief executives have been educated in the United States, followed by China, 116, and France, with 68. The French have five grandes écoles in the index’s top 15, underlining the country’s reputation as a center of excellence for training global business leaders.
