The HEC Alumni House opens its doors in Beijing
Located within Z-SPACE, a multifunctional space that fuses the traditional architecture of Chinese courtyard houses with a modern aesthetic, the Beijing "HEC Alumni House" finally opened on November 15. This venue is the result of a fruitful five-year collaboration between HEC's Beijing representative office and Ziroom, a Chinese company whose Vice-President of Operations, James Liang Zhanhua, is a graduate of our EMBA.
During their trip to China in November, Eloïc Peyrache, Dean and Director General, Philippe Oster, Senior Executive Director in charge of International Affairs, Marguerite Gallant, Executive Director at HEC Alumni, and Delphine Colson, Executive Director at Fondation HEC, had the opportunity to meet alumni and the wider business community, as well as HEC's academic and institutional partners in Beijing and the rest of China. The evening inauguration of the Beijing Alumni House which took place on November 15 was a unique opportunity to discuss the latest developments at the school and to rediscover our dynamic local community after years of constraints on international mobility due to the COVID epidemic.
From now on, this structure will be central to all events organized by the office and the Beijing Alumni chapter. In addition to the Beijing chapter (400 alumni), the HEC Alumni community is also present in mainland China with the Shanghai chapter (nearly 600 alumni) and the South China chapter (over 100 alumni), not forgetting of course the Hong Kong chapter (over 700 alumni).
