HEC Paris NY Office: Spring 2022 Activities At A Glance

During Spring 2022, the HEC Paris US Office took part in and organised several highly instructive events in New York City, Boston, and San Francisco. From a celebration of International Women's Day focused on the tech sector to a lecture by the author and entrepreneur Antoine Bello, as well as the organization of the Tage Mage exam, the discovery of the Boston Innovation Hub by the HEC EMBA Entrepreneurs major and the learning expedition of the Master X-HEC Entrepreneurs, let's take a look back at a season rich in discoveries and exchanges.

To kick-off the month and celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, selected speakers from La French Tech and HEC Paris networks came together to exchange ideas and views on the future of tech/crypto and the impact of enhancing women's roles during the “Women Changing the Game in Fintechs and Crypto” event, held at Datadog NYC Offices.

In partnership with FNEGE, the HEC US Office hosted in its NYC office the Tage Mage exam session on March 12.  This occasion was also an opportunity to present HEC Paris Programs to potential future international students.

Continuing with the Share & Dare with Forward Thinkers series, Antoine Bello (H. 91), Franco-American author and entrepreneur, was interviewed by HEC Alumni NYC Chapter President, Anne-Claire Berg, on March 16 at Librairie Albertine. This event shone light on Bello’s latest book as well as his future projects.

On March 23 and 30 the HEC US Office in partnership with the French American Chamber of New England set up the Boston Innovation Panel, during which HEC Alumni presented the Boston Innovation hub to the EMBA Innovation Major Class of 2022. This successful panel and networking event was held at Boston EY Office Hancock Tower.

HEC Alumni Entrepreneurs and local non-HEC entrepreneurs presented their journeys to HEC EMBA Entrepreneur's major program during the HEC Silicon Valley Entrepreneur's panel that took place at the San Francisco University Club on March 31. These rich discussions were then followed by a networking event.

The Master X-HEC Entrepreneurs cohort’s Learning Expedition took them to Silicon Valley. Their busy schedule included a visit organized by the HEC US Office on April 27 to Octave Bioscience, a biotech start-up, based in Menlo Park, CA.
