Spring 2024 Study Trips to the US

From February to May 2024, MSc X-HEC Entrepreneurs and Executive MBA (EMBA) students experienced the HEC Paris ecosystem in the US. Students, academic directors and staff, totaling close to 250 people, visited various North American cities over the course of 5-day study trips. Among them, 60 EMBAs in the "Innovate like an Entrepeneur" specialization travelled to Boston, Ma. and also had the chance to attend a panel discussion at the French-American Chamber of Commerce that followed an address by Mr Mustafa Soykurt, Consul General of France in Boston, adding even more to an already comprehensive Learning Experience. Other groups travelled to New York City, or San Francisco, Ca. for their specialization week in innovation and entrepreneurship.

“Great occasions to demonstrate the power of the HEC Paris alumni network as students got to meet their fellow alumni in their respective companies and during intensive networking events”

Vincent Muzelle, HEC Paris USA Office Executive Director

This spring, students, staff and academic directors flew to the US for the Learning Experience part of the HEC Paris training. They were welcomed by the HEC Paris US Office led by Vincent Muzelle in New York City.

Whether they travelled to New York City, Boston, Ma., or San Francisco, Ca., all participants viewed this study trip as a major milestone of their journey. The “Board Governance” specialization group had the unique opportunity to interact with HEC Alumni speakers and corporate partners in New York City. Greeted by Mr Mustafa Soykurt, Consul General of France in Boston, the "Innovate like an Entrepreneur" group attended the "Why is Boston a Top Innovation Hub in the US?" panel that took place in the French-American Chamber of Commerce's offices.

The 25 ones in the "Test your Startup Project" track visited San Francisco, Ca. and the Silicon Valley for an extraordinary experience of this unique environment. Other cohorts from various specializations ranging from "Healthcare Management and Policy" to "Luxury, Today & Tomorrow" had the opportunity to visit major companies, attend guest lectures with corporate partners, join rich panel discussions with alumni in executive positions and strengthen their network.
