S&O challenges
The S&O center focuses on four main challenges
The mission of the Society and Organizations Institute is to guide organizations through a socially and environmentally increasingly complex world and to train future responsible leaders to live up to its challenges.
We question the current business models, and provide frameworks to think and implement the necessary changes.
Addressing the challenges of the XXI century capitalism
What kind of capitalism should we shape for tomorrow?
The concrete answers to these questions lie partly in the management and governance practices that firms implement – what we call "orgology", or the science of organizations and management - as well as in national and international public policies that define the raison d'être and responsabilities of firms
Building inclusive business models
The S&O hosts the Movement for Social * Business Impact by Danone, Groupe Renault, Schneider Electric, Sodexo, Veolia in collaboration with the Action Tank Social & Business. The movement aims at contributing to a more inclusive economy, where businesses seek to maximize their social impact together with their economic performance.
Tackling the ecological transition
How is climate change radically redefining business models and practices?
The S&O center offers seminars, courses, gathering and events to help students and practictionners transition towards a carbon neutral econonomy.
Developping a purposeful leadership
Why do we work? What is the purpose of a company or an organization?
Since the launch in 2018 of the Joly Family Endowed Chair in Purposeful Leadership, S&O commits in placing the search of meaning as an essential quest for each individual, manager, and organization.
Delivering the conditions for purposeful leadership to positively impact organizations and collaborators is at the core of our ambition.
