As someone with a deep curiosity to explore and understand the world, I have always sought experiences that immerse me in diverse cultures, perspectives, and ways of thinking. The HEC Paris Summer School gave me just that – and I was able to bring back amazing insights for my employer too!

Today, I work in Communications and Corporate Affairs at a Brazilian investment holding company, where I began my career in 2020 following my university years studying International Relations. I am fortunate to work for a company that supports employee development and offers many opportunities for growth. Encouraged to seek out programs that aligned with both my professional and personal aspirations, I discovered HEC Paris’ Summer School. The Sustainable Finance & Investment program was the perfect fit. 

Being part of an international class with diverse backgrounds, and learning about sustainability in financial markets, was incredibly enriching – especially since I have been involved in various forums and projects that require this expertise. For my company, I brought back cutting-edge insights from one of Europe’s most renowned business schools, along with valuable networking opportunities with world-class speakers and faculty.

The program’s dynamic, hands-on learning approach, centered on practical case studies, fostered deep collaboration among students and helped us understand how to apply our newly acquired knowledge in real-world situations. As a young professional, this blend of theory and practice was particularly impactful.

Equally important was the chance to connect with unique and inspiring people from all around the globe. Beyond learning about sustainable finance, I realized how integration and collaboration can bridge cultural differences. I also saw that driving transformation and addressing global challenges is only possible through collective effort, starting with our youth and fostered by opportunities like this one.

My time at HEC opened my eyes in many ways, and it was a truly life-changing experience.
