Video surveillance
Data processing for the security of persons and goods
Purposes
HEC Paris, headquartered at 8 avenue de la Porte de Champerret, 75017 Paris, uses video surveillance to ensure the safety of people and goods. The recorded images are not used for staff surveillance and attendance control.
The processing is based on HEC Paris’ legitimate interests (see Article 6.1.f) of the European Data Protection Regulation).
Data and categories of data subjets
The system films employees, learners, service providers and occasional visitors of HEC Paris.
Recipients
The images may be viewed, in case of an incident, by the HEC Paris security and management staff as well as by the police or justice. The company's operators in charge of maintaining the system may also access the images, for this purpose only.
Retention period
The images will be kept for one month. In the event of an incident related to the security of persons and goods, the video surveillance images may nevertheless be extracted from the system. They are then kept on another medium for the time needed to settle the procedures linked to this incident and are accessible only to the persons authorised in this context. The videos are transmitted to the service in charge if a complaint is investigated by a judicial or police service.
Individual rights
You can access your personal data or request their deletion. The form is available on your HEC Paris intranet or you can send an email request to pole-securite@hec.fr . The form will be processed by the duly authorised persons following the agreement of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) or the security Director. Please note that you will only receive the images if you are the only one on the video.
You have also the right to object and the right to limit the processing of your data (see https://www.hec.edu/en/data-privacy-policy for more information on your rights).
To exercise these rights or if you have any questions about the data processing activities of this system, you can contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO).
