Create 15 new research chairs
In keeping with Anglo-Saxon models, our goal is to develop chairs that combine high-level research programs, knowledge dissemination and teaching in the school’s areas of expertise.
These chairs are essential to expanding our international reach and allowing us to attract and retain research professors, whose work changes the world and whose teaching transforms students.
-
Develop the PhD program
The PhD program plays a key role in knowledge production. Students carry out their first research projects in collaboration with HEC professors and take their first steps in teaching excellence.
After completing their PhD, students take positions at prestigious universities around the world and contribute to enhancing the reputation of HEC and France on the global stage. For the future, it is vital to expand the scholarship program to continue recruiting top PhD students from around the world.

Create 6 “Corporate Initiatives”
We plan to continue our efforts to further teaching based on key topics for corporate strategies, develop innovative training programs, and give rise to new ideas by organizing teaching activity within a unique ecosystem bringing together companies and students (conferences, challenges etc.)
Corporate Initiatives represent real opportunities to bring together the academic and corporate worlds.
Like the research chairs, each initiative pursues its own goal within the field of teaching.

Achievements already made possible through donations
Each year, the Foundation Prizes award the best research produced by HEC Paris students and teachers. In 2023, the Foundation and School created a new “Faculty Impact” prize to honor a HEC Faculty member whose action, project, start-up, presentation, book or article will have a major impact beyond the academic sphere.
For the first edition, Yann Algan, Professor of Economy and Associate Dean for Pre-experience Programs, for his work on the role of trust in organizations and the benefits of acquiring social skills from the earliest age. The prize was officially handed over during the ChangeNOW summit by Gilles Vermot-Desroches, Chief corporate Citizenship Officer at Schneider Electric and President of the jury.
In the context of declining public funds, the financing of infrastructures by capital investment professionals is fundamental in Europe and requires specialized yet flexible skills and expertise, to steer long-term, large-scale projects which are increasingly complex.
In order to support excellence academic teaching and practical training for high-level professionals, Antin Infrastructure Partners, a key player in this sector, has teamed up with HEC to create a Chair managed by Professor Oliver Gottschalg and to launch new certification for Master students.
Thanks to a very generous donation, Jean-Marie Eveillard (H.62) has funded the creation of the second endowed research chair at HEC Paris, which aims to promote research and education in behavioral finance and value investing.
his chair is financed by a dedicated endowed fund, guaranteeing that the professor and chair holder is able to pursue his research and pedagogy on this theme. Chairs are among the highest academic awards that HEC bestows on a faculty members. It is an honor to the named holder of the chair and also an enduring tribute to the donor who establishes it.
Augustin Landier, Professor and Chair holder, is recognized for his research on behavioral and corporate finance, asset management and banking. In 2014, he was named Best Young Economist by the Circle of Economists. Before joining the HEC faculty in 2017, he taught or was a faculty member at the Harvard Business School, Princeton University, New York University, the University of Chicago and the Toulouse School of Economics.
Sponsored by corporate partners, the HEC Paris Certificate programs consist of interdisciplinary courses focused on a specific sector. Over 100 hours of courses are offered to final year students. The “learning by doing” method allows students to put into practice what they have learned through projects with corporate partners.
Corporate partners are involved, alongside the Academic Director, in designing and running the program, providing HEC Paris students with an in-depth understanding of their sector, their challenges and their vision. In 2019, a new certificate was created to enlarge our teaching contents, the Data for Management Certificate, run jointly by Professor Vincent Fraitot and l'École Polytechnique, with the support of Natixis.
Corporate partners can also help to develop Academies for first and second year Grande École students. The aim of these Academies is to help students broaden their perspectives in a wide range of disciplines. The Academies’ portfolio has been expanded with the creation of the ODDO BHF Academy for Financial Analysis under Professor Alexei Ovtchinnikov.
