Dear HEC Paris Foundation Team,
Dear Donors of the HEC Foundation,

I wanted to address this letter to express my heartfelt thanks for the HEC Foundation scholarship that I had the opportunity to receive between 2019 and 2023 thanks to your generous donations.

To briefly introduce myself, my name is Anna and I come from Ukraine. I started learning French as a fourth language after Ukrainian, Russian, and English during my years in high school. I then had the chance to study at the French Lyceum in Kyiv and to take the French Baccalauréat alongside the Ukrainian one, which opened the doors to preparatory classes in France for me. After two years in the preparatory class at Sainte Geneviève in Versailles, I joined the PGE at HEC Paris in 2019.

In the years that followed, this scholarship was invaluable to me in financing my studies and benefiting from numerous exceptional opportunities.

Indeed, without your generosity and support, I simply would not have been able to pursue my studies at the best business school in Europe. But your donation had an even greater impact on my personal life because it allowed me not to be financially affected by the onset of high-intensity war in Ukraine, my home country.

Specifically, thanks to the HEC Foundation scholarship, I was able to focus on my studies and not have to worry about the costs associated with my education. This allowed me to go on exchange to New Zealand in L3, but also to devote myself fully to campus life and participate in activities such as welcoming international students as Vice President of the HEC International Society and initiatives such as the 'Open Letter for an Engaged Dean', the creation of the HEC Transition club, and the HEC Ukraine student association to make the school even more competitive and inclusive for future generations.

Finally, benefiting from the financial support of the HEC Foundation gave me the opportunity to choose my gap year internships based on my interests rather than my financial needs, and to enter the workforce with peace of mind.

I want to assure you that your donation has had a significant impact on my life, and I am convinced that it will also have an impact on the lives of many other students who will benefit from the HEC Foundation scholarship in the future.

I hope that one day I too will be able to contribute financially to the Foundation, or at least multiply its impact by contributing myself to the reconstruction and development of my country, Ukraine.

Once again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and support. Your contribution has been invaluable, and I am extremely grateful to have received it.
