Hervé Claquin
Member of the France Campaign Committee
I am committed to working with the Foundation to give all the talents a chance to join HEC Paris.
His biography:
Hervé is a Partner at Abénex. In 1992, he founded the private equity division of ABN AMRO in France, which rebranded as Abénex when it became independent in 2008.
Hervé was born and raised in Paris. Prior to establishing the private equity division at ABN AMRO, he managed various divisions of the group in Paris, including trading and M&A. Among the numerous projects he has managed, a key highlight was leading the first public to private deal on the Paris Stock Market in 1999 for AFE. He also led a similar public-to-private acquisition of the Dietrich Group for €500 million in 2000 which was one of the largest transactions of this kind at the time. Hervé was a board member of AFIC and chairman of its Capital Transmission Commission, and also a member of the executive committee of the European Venture Capital Association. He has been a member of the board of directors of OENEO since 1997, of which he was also non-executive chairman from 2017 to 2020, and is a member of the supervisory board of RUBIS; both of these companies are listed on the Paris Stock Exchange.
Hervé Claquin has been involved with the Foundation since 2009.
