Business & Geopolitics: A Global View

Elsa Gotte

The use of live interactive tools and modules fostered a remarkable collaborative environment between the participants that enhanced understanding and retention.

Coming from a background in political science, with a strong belief that curiosity and knowledge have the power to transform both individuals and society, continuous learning and staying updated with global trends are essential. It was in this spirit that I applied for "Business & Geopolitics: A Global View", a 5-week professor-paced online program offered by Europe's top business school. The program values adaptability, critical thinking, and the ability to anticipate and manage geopolitical risks in a professional context. It provides a unique analysis of business strategy combined with geopolitical analysis. Exactly what I was looking for!

I find that the online format of the program is a real advantage, emphasizing two key points: flexibility and engagement. Indeed, choosing an online format while continuing my undergraduate studies was a real asset. The program’s structure, which combines asynchronous learning with weekly live sessions, ensures an interactive and engaging learning experience. Moreover, I found that the use of live interactive tools and modules fostered a remarkable collaborative environment between the participants that enhanced understanding and retention. The content is carefully designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The online modules crafted by Professor Jeremy Ghez provided me with the necessary tools to effectively analyze and predict geopolitical trends, and all at my own pace. This knowledge will be invaluable in the workplace as I aim to develop resilient long-term strategies in the face of numerous global uncertainties.

The most challenging part of the program was balancing its rigorous demands with my work as a political science student. However, this was also the most rewarding aspect, as it pushed me to improve my time management skills and stimulated my curiosity and commitment to the program. The live-time interactive sessions shared with Professor Jeremy Ghez and peers from around the world were particularly enriching and enabled us to delve deeper into the content from a diversity of perspectives.

This program is a highly enriching experience for better understanding the intersection between business and geopolitical dynamics; it is truly a source of encounters and reflection.
