Summer Student Story

Yassin Louali

Business & Climate Change

Yassin Louali

What I appreciated most was the program's direct applicability to the real world. Dynamic exchanges and practical case studies allowed me to acquire skills that I now use daily in my career.

When I decided to join the summer program at HEC Paris, I was driven by a desire to gain knowledge about finance and sustainable solutions for a world in transition, all while maintaining economic viability. As an engineering student specializing in Energy and Sustainable Cities, I had limited knowledge of the business world. This program was an excellent opportunity for me to bridge that gap and expand my understanding of how business principles can be integrated with sustainable practices. My core values are rooted in environmental respect and a commitment to contributing positively to society. HEC Paris not only provided me with an exceptional academic framework but also immersed me in a dynamic and inspiring community dedicated to sustainable innovation.

My decision to attend HEC Paris was influenced by the institution's unparalleled reputation and the opportunity to surround myself with inspiring individuals, each with unique stories and academic backgrounds. Over just two weeks, we forged strong bonds through various activities and the exceptional quality of the HEC campus. From day one, I was impressed by the enriching interactions with professors and guest speakers. Their teaching not only enhanced my knowledge but also refined my professional vision, equipping me with concrete tools to achieve my goals.

The program pushed my limits, particularly during collaborative projects, with our final presentation being the most challenging yet rewarding part of the experience. Stepping into the role of consultants, I worked with passionate and talented peers, who provided a true source of inspiration and personal growth. This allowed me to deepen my academic skills and develop lasting friendships, many of which I continue to cherish.

Participating in this summer program has significantly fueled my eagerness to delve deeper into sustainable finance, geopolitics, and the energy transition. Furthermore, the invaluable advice from professors and guest professionals profoundly impacted me, and I am deeply grateful for it.

I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to make a difference in sustainable development. Whether you are a young professional or a student seeking to broaden your horizons, HEC Paris is the ideal place to nurture your ambitions and turn your aspirations into reality. As HEC Paris's famous saying goes, "The more you know, the more you dare!"
