My motivation to apply for a Summer course stemmed from my interaction with the business school itself. I attended a ‘Women in Finance’ panel hosted by the HEC UK house based in London and experienced utmost awe whilst listening to their inspiring female alumni. They took us through their professional journeys post HEC and the depth at which the institution nourished their skills, ambitions and work ethic was unmistakable.
As a young working professional, I was looking for an opportunity to immerse myself in the school’s unparalleled teachings and chose the Luxury Management course directed by the esteemed professor Anne Michaut. The program included lectures from well-known HEC faculty directly, such as professors Anne Michaut and Franck Asenkat, as well as industry professionals with lifetimes worth of experience in the luxury market; from leading high-end creative houses, innovating FMCG companies, to sourcing precious products for luxury clients.
The pedagogy irrefutably shaped my interests into actionable directions, and the unique insights of the lecturers not only provided a new depth of market understanding but also challenged my perceptions on all layers of today's industry.
