Discovering my full potential and the professional world   

HEC is a prestigious business school at a global level, renowned for its elite peers, high qualified faculty, and resourceful career center. As an HEC student, all these aspects I found to be true. HEC helped me discover my full potential by giving me the opportunity to communicate with experts from a wide range of fields in the modern business world. We also cracked real-life cases during Economic Consulting and M&A courses, by learning up-to-date models and knowledge both theoretically and practically, guided by experienced experts in the field.

MFE provides a perfect balance between theory and practice.    

The core courses of the first semester provided a solid knowledge base in economics and strong business insights. Over the following semester, we benefited from more practical courses and the choice of taking on business projects. I chose to do the business project for a leading european bank on banking market analysis of the African market. It was fascinating to actively apply my knowledge and discover this unique and interesting topic. Not only have I learned a lot about specific topics, but I have also sharpened my presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

One of the most valuable things I gained was a deeper insight into certain topics in economics and finance, like the financial crisis, forecasting and corporate valuation methods. Additionally, the MFE helped me improve my networking skills. At HEC you are presented with opportunities to build your network, whilst being influenced by different cultures and backgrounds. The intellectual strength of the MFE group allowed me to push myself on a daily basis. I upgraded from a student to a true professional with the help and the resources (career events, mock interviews with alumni, job training conferences) offered by the career center.
