Coming into HEC with existing knowledge in finance, I was impressed that there was still a lot of learning to do in this class. The program directors were thorough and extremely interactive with students, transforming an open class arrangement into an open minds and opinions setting.

The confidence the professors are able to inspire in class was remarkable, and I felt that their opinions on different subjects in finance carried more weight because of their broad experience across the banking and investment industries. I particularly liked the mix of class lessons with industry talks from veterans of the private equity and investment banking industry. HEC Paris is in a unique position to be able to provide the summer school students with access to such illustrious finance professionals because of its respected status as an academic finance hub, and its emphasis on merging academics with practical world experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Summer School, and I made what I suspect to be good friendship bonds that will last beyond HEC Paris. I can say that after my summer experience at HEC Paris, I am more enthused than ever about the prospect of furthering my finance education at the institution.
