The Rise of the Tech Giants

Last week Jeremy Ghez, HEC Paris Professor of Economics and International Affairs, introduced his research on the rise of the tech oligopolies at a lecture, hosted at the London School of Economics, titled: ‘When Tech Giants Take Control’. To what extent are the GAFAs balanced by the positive benefits brought by these innovative businesses? And how much should we worry about the growing geo-political power of the GAFAs?
