Summer Student Story
One of the strengths of this program lies in its emphasis on class participation and practical exercises during each lecture, allowing us to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
The HECxEHL summer program in Luxury Hospitality Management has been for me a unique opportunity to immerse myself in a topic that I have always found fascinating but never had the chance to explore in depth before. From the first moment, I felt I was in the right place. Everything was beyond my expectations: the two beautiful campuses, the new friends I’ve met, and, above all, the amazing lecturers and guest speakers.
During the first week, we received a general introduction to luxury management, while during the days at EHL, we got to know more about hospitality, learning from outstanding professors. I tried to soak up as much as I could and to make the most out of all the lessons, which ranged from hospitality concept design to psychology, leadership, and even wine tasting. One day, we also had the opportunity to talk to the directors of the Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne and then visit the hotel.
One of the strengths of this program lies in its emphasis on class participation and practical exercises during each lecture, allowing us to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios. Additionally, the experience was enriched by the opportunity to collaborate with peers from all around the world and share our different ideas and perspectives.
Overall, this course has truly been a beautiful and inspiring experience, from both an academic and a personal point of view, and I’m grateful to have been part of it.
