A political scientist and LGBTIQ+ activist from Belgium, Rémy Bonny is executive director of Forbidden Colours, an organisation that advocates for LGBTIQ+ communities in the EU. He travels around the world to talk to LGBTIQ+ organisations, high-level policy makers and academics about the political situation of LGBTIQ+ communities in the EU. As his work has been recognised by many international media and institutions, Rémy had the privilege to speak at the official 50th commemoration of the Stonewall Uprising in New York City in 2019.

Rémy Bonny is a political scientist and LGBTIQ+ activist from Belgium. He specialises in how the demands of the LGBTIQ+ movement shape international relations - more specifically in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Rémy has been the director of Forbidden Colours since April 2021 - an organisation that advocates for LGBTIQ+ communities in the European Union. In recent years, Rémy has conducted research on the anti-LGBTIQ+ movement. Among other things, he exposed that Russia is supporting anti-LGBTIQ+ groups in the EU. As an advocate and researcher in LGBTIQ+ politics, Rémy travels the world to talk to LGBTIQ+ organisations, high-level policy makers and academics about the political situation of LGBTIQ+ communities in the EU. His work has been recognised by many international media and institutions. He was one of the speakers privileged to speak at the official 50th commemoration of the Stonewall Uprising in New York City in 2019.
