Webinar: When design thinking clashes with the existing business culture
Participate
Two researchers, Sihem Jouini, Professor of Innovation Management at HEC Paris, and Lisa Carlsgren, Senior Researcher at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, will bridge research and practice on the topic of design for transformation. They will first present the key findings of their new research publication showing that a clash of cultures may be at the heart of the failure to stimulate creativity through design thinking methods. They will then share insights on how to implement design thinking in an organization where the culture doesn't fit. Join the discussion live online on Zoom.
Increasingly firms are seeking new methods to stimulate creativity in a fast-moving business climate. Many turn to design thinking — but with mixed results. In their new research, “When cultures collide: What can we learn from frictions in the implementation of design thinking?”, Sihem Jouini and Lisa Carlsgren sought to find out why this practice is successful for some companies and less so for others. Find the summary of that research on Knowledge@HEC: "When Design Thinking Clashes With the Existing Business Culture" and learn more at the webinar, where you will be able to interact with the researchers.
