Data For Manager Training Program : Two days to raise awareness of Data Transformation among managers of major corporations

For the very first time, HEC Paris and Netexplo welcomed a group of over 160 managers from major corporations to the HEC campus in Jouy-en-Josas, on Tuesday, December 10th and Wednesday, December 11th.

Data For Manager Training Program

Over two days, 165 managers from all sectors of activity of large corporations, including R&D, but also HR, Finance... explored the challenges of Data Transformation in Companies.
Because "Data Transformation can be the first enabler of Digital Transformation in companies, with the most potential over the short term, it cannot work without the full involvement of managers!" explains Guillaume Pernoud, General Manager of Netexplo and co-creator of the training with Julien Levy, Professor and Academic Director of the HEC IDEA Center.

The two days were composed of lecture sessions including concepts and methods in the morning and practical workshops in the afternoon.

The first day was dedicated to understanding the challenges of Data Transformation in companies. Julien Levy spoke about the new data environment for companies and the imperative to establish a link among talent, organizational processes and corporate culture. "Data Transformation is fundamentally about innovating the way you conduct your business using data leverage."

Jean-Rémi Gratadour provided an overview of data governance in companies. "Companies are aware of data challenges but are still struggling to respond to them! However, a data culture is emerging thanks to innovative projects from the business lines."

This was followed by numerous testimonies and introductory workshops on Python practice and Machine Learning.

The second day was geared toward managers and their role in supporting company data projects. Ghislain Mazars H.98, CEO of Ubeeko, detailed the functioning of data projects, their management and in particular, relationships with data scientists and the generation of value around data.

Finally, the last part of the training allowed participants to put into practice lessons learned through application cases, while further fueling participants' reflections on their own data projects.

After the completion of these two rewarding days, a 7-hour online training session will be offered and a certificate award to the most diligent!
