The Abidjan office supports HEC Paris's development actions in West Africa
This fall, the HEC representative office in West and Central Africa supported the promotion of the Executive MBA and Masters programs at HEC Paris. This consisted of an information session at its Abidjan premises, as well as a strong showing in the French Higher Education fair.
On October 3, at the offices of HEC Paris in Abidjan, Claudia Machado Dos Santos, Admission Officer for the Executive MBA at HEC Paris, presented the details of this program for executives to about fifty participants. Five alumni or current program participants were present: Ludovic Morinière, Arif Ichola, Mac-Gaël Anouma, Georges Marius Aba and Joël-Eric Missainhoun.
Alexis John Ahyee, Director of the West and Central Africa Office, then delivered a presentation on his activities that have a direct connection with the local economic fabric and the HEC Alumni community. The question and answer session ended with exchanges and sharing of experiences over a cocktail.
From October 10 to 12, the members of the West and Central Africa Office, Charles Fayolle and Liliane Bilé, with the support of Alexis John Ahyee, ran an HEC Paris stand at the French higher education fair that was held at the Palace of Culture in Treichville.
This fair, organized by Campus France as part of the "West Rush" tour in Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana and Togo, brought together more than 40 French higher education institutions (universities, business schools, engineers, journalism, art ...). Nearly 6000 visitors were welcomed on the three days (high school students, students, parents of students). Johan Valroff and Aglaé Zeitoun, two HEC Paris students on an internship in Abidjan, came to lend a hand on the stand.
The presence at the fair of the French Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, HE Gilles Huberson, the speech he gave and the cocktail that followed at the Résidence de France made concrete France's commitment to French higher education, which trains the talents of tomorrow in this region of rapid economic development.
