Collabathon Open Climate : HEC Paris and Yale
Participate
We need a global and transparent climate accounting system to achieve the Paris Agreement. HEC Data Minds has joined forces with Yale Open Lab and are hosting a global, collective hackathon called Collabathon Open Climate. This event will take place at HEC Paris Campus on November 16th - 17th.
This Collabathon aims to build the Open Climate Platform - a global decentralized climate accounting platform. It aims to be a collaborative effort from individuals around the world who will contribute with expertise from all different fields, from climate research, policy creation, project management and design to blockchain technology, software development, etc.
We are calling on you and all our planetary stakeholders to contribute in the development of an open source and collectively owned global climate accounting system, platform and portal.
The collaborative hackathon will begin on November 16th at a 2-day on-campus launch at Yale University and continue for two weeks in decentralized efforts around the world until December 6th at the UNFCCC COP25 summit. The project will continue as an open source initiative with further events and collective development sprints throughout 2020.
Let's show how the power of collaboration can create an impactful paradigm shift necessary to addressing climate change.
