ESP'R Association and the S&O Center are delighted to invite you to a unique conference with Gawad Kalinga representatives and partners!

GK guests - Jan 20 2020

GK@HEC Jan 20 2020Gawad Kalinga,” translated in English means to “give care”, is an NGO whose main aim is to end poverty for 5 million Filipino families by 2024. Nothing less!

A Philippine-based movement, GK aims to end poverty by first restoring the dignity of the poor. It employs an integrated and holistic approach to empowerment  with values-formation and leadership development at its core.
GKa has already succeeded in creating 2300 communities all over the country alleviating poverty for 1 million families by attracting donations from both private and public sectors.

To help communities be self-sufficient, GK launched in 2010 the Centre for Social Innovation (CSI) to serve as an incubator for local and international social entrepreneurs and create jobs in the Philippines. To date, GK-CSI has incubated several successful social enterprises. Among them, "Human Nature" and "Plush & Play" (plush toys).

GK has also developed extensive public-private partnerships, and massive volunteerism. Major MNCs such as Shell, Nestlé, Unilever, Philips, Pfizer, AkzoNobel, Globe, Coca-Cola, IBM, Microsoft, HP, Hyundaï, AirFrance-KLM or Air Liquide work together with GK to support communities or projects.

Our guests:

Ryan Gervasa GK  Ryan Gersava is a Filipino social entrepreneur and Founder of Virtualahan, the multi-awarded and pioneering tech social enterprise in The Philippines for Persons with Disabilities to develop skills and mindset to become competitive employees and entrepreneurs using the equalizing power of technology.
Fabien Courteille GK ACTED

Fabien Courteille  is a French social entrepreneur who fell in love with the Philippines years ago. He is the founder and COO of Batang Bayani International Inc. and the manager of the 3Zero Agenda in the Philippines for the French International NGO ACTED.

The 3Zero is a multi-stakeholder movement founded by ACTED and Gawad Kalinga in favor of the Global Goals of the United Nations and it stands for Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon and Zero Poverty.

Riad Chajiddine AL

Riad Chajiddine is an intrapreneur from the Inclusive Business @i-Lab, Air Liquide innovation's lab.

In close partnership with Gawad Kalinga and Air Liquide Philippines R&D, he is now
managing a «low tech» innovation project (a cold chain solution for transport) to help
sustain the 800 000 Filipino fishermen by improving their livelihood through better control and
