For the second edition, the HEC association ESP'R is organizing the Earth Week, which aims at promoting ecology, sustainable development and social and environmental initiatives. from November 18 to 26. The whole event and different activities and conferences will be digital. Look at the program!
Once again after its huge success last year, your favourite student society, ESP’R, is launching, in collaboration with the Society & Organizations Institute, a new edition of the Earth Week which aims at promoting ecology, sustainable development and social and environmental initiatives.
Originally meant to take place on campus, we managed to transfer most of our events on Zoom, so get ready to lighten your second lockdown with some good and green vibes ? Indeed, despite the lockdown measures, we wanted to offer you a program that meets the current huge challenges! This period can turn out to be a real opportunity to think about concrete solutions to make our world more sustainable and inclusive. We thus expect many of you to participate in our various events!
From the 18th of November to the 27th, you will have the opportunity to participate in multiple different events going from various conferences to a veggie cooking-lesson night, without forgetting discovery workshops on diverse topics such as climate, numerical and waste impacts. If you prefer to network, you will have the opportunity to meet and discuss with students and alumni from the Msc Sustainability and Social Innovation!
Thursday, 19th November
Workshop HEC and Oxford Said Business School: HEC and the Said Business School have joined forces in order to offer you the following exclusive conference: “Race to zero Dialogues: Financing a net zero economy - The role of business schools”. As climate change rises up the boardroom agenda, what changes are business schools making to build the leaders of tomorrow?
Friday, 20th November
The Climate Collage: global warming, rising water levels, CO2 emissions, permafrost... it's easy to get lost! But we have the solution: come and find out in a playful way what climate change is all about and what you can do about it! Divided in teams of 4 up to 7 persons, you will be given cards representing the different aspects and components of climate change. Your aim will be to find the causal links starting from human-being activities to understand and measure the exact impact of our activities on climate. All the cards are created based on scientific data from the GIEC report.
Monday, 23rd November
The Digital Collage: this workshop aims at providing you with a deep understanding of the environmental issues of digital technologies, thanks to a fun game of cards. Divided in teams of around 8 people, you will take part in the 4 different steps of the game (more information on the HEC event App).
Tuesday, 24th November
(a day full of opportunities) : a new session of the Digital Collage
Followed by Networking with the SASI: thanks to this testimony, come discover what SASI stands for! Students and alumni of the Msc Sustainability and Social Innovation will be sharing their career and their experience. You will firstly have the opportunity to discover diverse profiles which are committed to initiating change in our society; and secondly to ask your questions directly to students and alumni.
And the Sustainable Fashion event: with our four intervenants, we will both discuss the initiatives put in place to “green” one of the most polluting sectors of our economy as well as the respective roles of consumers and businesses in initiating change.
Good to know : as soon as the campus reopen, we will organize a massive Clothes Sale …so do not throw any of your oldies away until then ;)

Impaakt Webinar: How to measure impact? The Impaakt company is pleased to offer you the opportunity to participate in a training programme on the impacts measure of companies which consist in measuring their environmental and social values.
