If you’re passionate about luxury or if you’re just curious to discover the sector, HEC and this summer school is what you need! Prepare yourself to be surrounded by talented students and learn from remarkable professionals in the luxury world.

Coming from a bachelor in Finance, I have never studied Luxury Management but my interest in the sector led me to apply for the HEC Summer School. My doubts and fears concerning the program and my capacity to follow the lessons quickly vanished as soon as I started the course: all the professors are both very talented professionals in the sector and passionate teachers. Every lecture is focused on a different aspect of luxury and there have been many opportunities to challenge ourselves and create projects of our own. The multicultural environment has pushed me to learn from different realities and backgrounds, both from an age and nationality point of view, realizing that there are different perspectives on the luxury market around the world. Due to the diversity of the components of the class, there’s no need for previous competencies since the projects and assignments are all based on what is discussed in class. 

Apart from general lectures on the basics of luxury management, we had the opportunity to learn about specific luxury sectors such as the gems sector, haute couture, and fine art, giving us the opportunity to discover what field attracts us the most. In particular, the final project has given us the opportunity to put into practice what we’ve learned and taste a glimpse of a real-world situation, where different people come together to share ideas and find solutions. 

After these two weeks, I am now determined in pursuing a career in the luxury world and I hope to collaborate in the future with the friends and professors that I have met at HEC.
