The first place named after a class on campus
On September 14, 2024, 250 alumni and staff gathered on campus with Bernard Ramanantsoa (MBA.76), former Dean the School, and Daniel Bernard (H.69), Honorary President of the HEC Foundation, to inaugurate “Place Promotion 2009” in front of the M building.
The H.09 year group and their families gathered in Jouy-en-Josas with hearts filled with memories. From 2pm, they were able to stroll around the campus's different landmarks, including the "Kfet" and the gymnasium, enjoying the good weather and showing their families around their old university.
If there was such a high turnout to this anniversary event, it was also to celebrate the unprecedented mobilization of this class and to thank them. Several years ago, the H.09 year group set themselves the challenge of committing to supporting HEC's mission over the long term, through a variety of actions:
- Encouraging start-ups created by graduates by investing in the HEC Ventures fund
- Supporting the HEC Alumni Association with an increase in the number of subscriptions to the Infinity Pass lifetime membership scheme
- Supporting the School, its projects, and its students through involvement in the Impact Tomorrow 2019-2024 campaign
“Place Promotion 2009” was unveiled during a cocktail event and inauguration ceremony by Bernard Ramanantsoa (MBA.76), former Dean of the School, Daniel Bernard (H.69), Honorary President of the HEC Foundation, and Kristine De Valck, Dean of Degree Programs, in recognition of their actions to support HEC.
For the most nostalgic, the celebrations continued with a buffet at the “Kfet”, followed by the traditional POW for an unforgettable evening!
HEC Paris, HEC Alumni and the HEC Foundation would like to thank the whole year group, and in particular its delegate Julien Lacaze, for their exceptional commitment.
103 graduates of the class of 2009 became donors during this period, raising €748,000 in donations and pledges for the HEC Foundation. According to the wishes of each donor, these donations are earmarked for equal opportunities, sports infrastructure renovation, and entrepreneurship, or are dedicated to supporting the School's impact mission.
The H.09 class mobilized the most alumni over the 2019-2024 period.
