A moment together for MBA scholarship students
During their first week, the new MBA students who were awarded merit-based scholarships came together to celebrate their success and discuss with Jean-Yves Fillion (MBA.92), Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas USA, Chairman of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) for the Americas et membre du International Advisory board d’HEC Paris via video-conference.
The current health crisis may have changed our habits, but it is still important for us to stay in touch with each other through events and meet-ups with students. The scholarships award ceremony for MBA students starting their course in January 2021 was therefore held both remotely and in person, in full compliance with the health guidelines. Delphine Colson, Executive Director of the HEC Foundation, and Andrea Masini, Dean of the HEC MBA, were therefore able to hand out scholarship award certificates to 62 MBA students.
Thanks to donations, each year we are increasing the number of MBA excellence scholarships and/or amount of aid, attracting the most talented students from all over the world but also promoting the internationalization of the School. In 2020, 115 MBA students benefited from a merit-based scholarship funded by the donors of the HEC Foundation.
This support is essential because it contibutes to enhancing HEC Paris’s MBA reputation and attractiveness. In 2021, for the second year running, HEC Paris’MBA has climbed up the table, this time reaching joint-seventh in the international rankings of the Financial Times. This follows last year’s impressive leap from #21 to the #9 position.

Joining HEC Paris is a success, but it is not an end in itself. In fact, it is just the beginning. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy access to excellence, to be recognized all over the world and to meet amazing people, all of which will help you build what I am sure will be an incredible career.
