They study at HEC Paris thanks to you!
September is always a special time for the HEC campus, with the arrival of new students. For the HEC Foundation, it is an opportunity to meet the new scholarship students during the award ceremonies.
The scholarship award ceremonies are also a chance for new arrivals to meet with students from the previous year as well as the grand donors, who come to share their experience and express their pride at being part of HEC and their gratitude for the school that trained them.
HEC becomes a viable option for many students when they discover the scholarship system that is open to them. This financial support enables them to pursue their dreams, as Ana (MBA 20) said in her address during the MBA scholarship ceremony: “The award of a scholarship was very reassuring for me. It was really comforting to know that HEC was encouraging me to pursue my dreams.”
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and partner companies, we were able to offer 311 scholarships last month: 11 to doctoral students, 76 to MBA students and 224 to students on the Grande Ecole program!
The MBA students received their scholarships in the presence of Pierre Danon, loyal and Grand Donor of the HEC Foundation and President of the Executive Board of Solocal, Andrea Masini, Executive Director of the HEC Paris MBA program, and Delphine Colson, Executive Director of the HEC Foundation, in the Pierre Bellon amphitheater, named after another Grand Donor of the HEC Foundation.
The ceremony for the MSc students took place the following week in the presence of Eric Hazan, Grand Donor of the HEC Foundation and leading partner of McKinsey & Company, Sandra Vormann from Volkswagen, partner company of the HEC Foundation, Marc Vanhuele, Executive Director of the pre-experience programs, and Delphine Colson, Executive Director of the HEC Foundation, in the Pierre Bellon amphitheater.
Lastly, the doctoral students received their scholarship certificate during a lunchtime event in the presence of Peter Todd, Dean of HEC Paris, Kristine de Valck, Executive Director of the Doctoral program, Jacques Olivier, Dean of the teaching & research body of HEC Paris, and Déborah Aringoli, Director of International Development at the HEC Foundation.
The impact on the inclusion of all talents is one of the major projects of our new fund-raising campaign, Impact tomorrow. Last year more than half of the funds allocated by the Foundation to projects by HEC Paris were attributed to scholarships and student aid.
We are convinced that the diversity, whether social or international, is a key factor in the performance of any academic institution. Societal transformations are at the heart of today’s issues and can only be implemented by enabling every talent to express its potential to the full.
