We are pleased to announce the HEC Paris European Symposium.
The European Symposium is a student initiative with the goal of promoting European integration by establishing Europe as a constant factor in thougt and action of Europe's future policy and business leaders.
Agenda :
16:00 : Arrival - You will be welcomed on campus by Peter Todd, Dean of HEC Paris and by the HEC Paris European Symposium organisers.
16:00 - 16:55 : Event Briefing & Refreshments - Greetings to all keynote-speakers, Pierre Moscovici, Philippe Oddo, Oliver Marchal and introduction to the moderator Stanley Pignal (The Economist) The EU Symposium will brief you on the debate proceedings incl. tech as well as discuss last minute questions.
17:00 - 19:00 : The Panel Debate :
• Short introductory videos of the guests
• Short introductory words by an HEC Paris European Symposium Member
• Handover to Stanley Pignal:
One opening broad question to every panel member (2–3 min answer) Discussion begins with prepared student questions Three flexible main topics:
a) Brexit and its effect on EU business (ca.20 mins)
b) EU governance/Budget/Minister of Finance (ca. 20 mins)
c) Economic convergence in the EU and future outlook (ca. 20 mins)
• Question portal opens (We will take a mix of prepared and live questions)
19:00 - 20:00 : Cocktail - Food and drinks will be provided and you will have the opportunity to speak to the students in a laidback setting
