Leonardo Winzap
Master in Sustainability and Social Innovation
Thanks to the Master in Sustainability & Social Innovation and the many opportunities offered throughout the program, I discovered my passion for energy-related topics and found a job matching my interests at Schneider Electric.
Why did you decide to join this HEC Paris Master?
For three reasons - the absolute relevance of the topic of this master, the great opportunities that arise from having studied at HEC Paris and the people I was expecting to meet during the program. All three reasons were very much confirmed by my time during and after the SASI program.
What are your biggest takeaways from the program?
What is your current job? What types of responsibilities do you have?
I work as a Sustainability Solutions Developer in the external consulting branch of Schneider Electric. Concretely, I accompany our clients during the planning and the implementation of energy efficiency and electrification projects at their sites. I am responsible for the day-to-day relationship with clients, for advising them when they have questions related to their journey to become more energy efficient and less carbon intensive and for making sure we deliver high quality results to our clients.
How did you find your job?
Through a recruiting event organised by Schneider Electric specifically for SASI students.
How did the program help define your career path and secure your job?
The SASI program allowed me to discover that I am passionate about energy related topics and that I want to work in the energy field. Once I had figured that out, the rest felt much easier, as I could search for jobs and prepare the recruitment processes in a focused manner.
Any advice for students considering joining the SASI Master and wishing to follow a similar career path?
Stay open-minded, focus on things you are really passionate about and make great friends along the way!
