HEC innovation award
HEC Innovation was created in 2017 to support HEC early stage entrepreneurs. Alumni from Silicon Valley got together to launch this award for the best HEC Start-ups and offer a financial prize as well as mentoring from top entrepreneurs and executives from the Silicon Valley.
For its second edition, HEC Innovation offered innovative, early stage startups from the HEC ecosystem a $25,000 prize plus mentoring to encourage, inspire and empower them to develop their full potential.
The prizes were awarded simultaneously to the two winners in Paris and San Francisco on June 6th:
• Késia Vasconcelos from Backacia received the award during the HEC Seed event, the biggest seed-stage startup event organized for the Startup by HEC Paris Students. The startup Backacia (ex- Batiphoenix) is specialized in reused building materials. They help actors in the construction sector to include reused materials in their operations, thanks to their B2B marketplace connecting sellers and buyers of reused materials.
• Nicolas Régnier and Simon Valadou from Datasoluce received the award during the final dinner organized by the HEC Launchpad Valley program in Silicon Valley: Within a building project, Data Soluce’s SaaS platform seamlessly makes all stakeholders’ data compatible and unified, enabling owners to check quantity and coherency, and make sure delivery is in line with their order. DataSoluce decided to donate $1000 of their prize to support next year’s HEC Innovation Award. A wonderful gesture from Simon and Nicolas to start giving back to the community!
Thank you to the Donors of the 2018 edition!
