The Mission:
-
Les Improdigieux is the theatre improvisation troupe of HEC. Members come up with quick sketches on the spot and the only rule is to stay open minded and ready for new ideas and challenges! Often the first idea that comes to us is the best one!
Key events:
-
The association meets every week for a 2-hour improv session. It is a chance to develop and learn new exercises.
-
Arts cafés, open stages organized by the Bureau des Arts in which the Improdigieux participate. Where members create short improvised scenes. This is often the first opportunity to perform in front of an audience.
-
The association participates in the Improvisades; an annual improvisation tournament gathering several schools together. Because improv is an art, but it's also a sport.
Why Join the Society?
-
To improvise is to develop openness and empathy: you learn to be attentive to the reactions and proposals of the person with who you perform. It is also useful to be more comfortable speaking and to have confidence in yourself! Improv is open to all, beginners or experienced students!
Members:
- The current president is Hugo Berard.
- There are around 10 members in the society.
Society History:
The society was started in 2001 by a group of HEC students, united by their love for improvisation. Since then, the association welcomes beginners or more experienced students who wish to act and improvise.
