Level Up is an association that revolves around video and board games. By organising fun cultural events, students are welcome to join in with the many exciting activities this society has to offer. Whether you are a professional gamer or someone who wants to win at Fortnite, there is a place for you at Level Up.

The Mission:

  • Level up wants to make sure all students can have a good time on campus. When the campus is deserted on weekends, the society hopes to entertain everybody who feels left out.

  • Board games can be borrowed whenever students want to play a round with their friends, and those who are getting ready for competitions can reserve computers.

Key Events:

  • New projects and ideas are currently in the making such as a FIFA Tournament, League of Legends Tournament (organised by the Student Gaming Network and Riot Games), a hand-made Escape room on campus and a Paintball fight.

Why Join the Society?

  • Students who want to pass the time, have fun with friends or feel less isolated are welcome at Level Up.

  • The society owns 30 board games, and more can be bought with funds gathered from sponsors. With 6 computers and two consoles (Wii U and PS4), the games can begin!

  • When it comes to gaming, professional gamers, and of course beginners, are welcome to train on whatever game they want to try out (CS GO, League of Legends, Overwatch, Fortnite, Hearthstone, WoW, FIFA and many more!)

Members:

  • The current president of the society is Claire Richer.

  • There approximately 70 people interested in the club this year, especially international students.

  • 6 regular gamers participate in e-sport competitions against other schools thanks to SGN.

  • Key sponsors include Sennheiser France and SGN. This year the society hopes to work with the French company Shadow, which takes interest in gaming and informatics societies.

Society History:

HEC Level Up is one of the oldest associations here at HEC. Formally known as “Pruce Corp HEC” or “Microsystems”, Level Up has gained its popularity through the rise of technology in recent years. Aiming to change the stereotype of gamers being just “geeks”, Level Up wants to create a fun, friendly and entertaining environment for everyone on campus.
