October 2023 STRAT London Study Trip

The HEC Paris Office in the UK organises every year a Learning Expedition to London for approximately 100 Master in Strategic Management students. This month, they spent 3 intensive days visiting 20 companies across sectors (fintech, consulting, consumer, etc).

These crucial study trips are designed to provide students with a unique blend of industry insights, company visits, and alumni networking.

Kristin Young and Luella Goethals, both working at HEC Talents (HEC Paris’ career centre), also joined this study trip. Their participation allowed to further nurture the connectivity and relationship between UK based companies, the students and HEC Paris.

A networking evening was held at the HEC UK House with alumni working in London. Engaging in open discussions and sharing experiences with the HEC Paris alumni not only expanded their network but also exposed them to invaluable insights and potential mentors. A huge thank you to all of them for taking the time to share their knowledge and experience with the students! 

The event was organised by the HEC UK Office team, which has deep longstanding relationships with various institutions in London. For our students, this trip was a great experience that offered them valuable career opportunities: “Great spirit, insightful visits”, “Eye opening”, “It was well organized and it a real plus in the Master's programme”, “Eye-opening & motivating”.

Companies also highly appreciated the experience: 100% of the companies that responded to the survey would like to be part of the event next year!

As these HEC students return to Paris, they bring back not only knowledge but also a wealth of experiences and memories that will shape their future careers. We are looking forward to welcoming them again in London next year as young professionals and joining the vibrant alumni community!
