Creation of a solidarity fund for Lebanese students
In light of the Lebanese crisis and with the support of the circle of Lebanese donors, the HEC Foundation has created a solidarity fund for the Lebanese students on campus. Below is a moving account from Anis, a Lebanese student at HEC Paris and beneficiary of the fund.
Thanks to the support of some of our Lebanese donors, the HEC Foundation is able to provide subsistence grants to students facing financial difficulties at the start of this academic year. This emergency fund for the Lebanon has already enabled us to allocate a grant of €800 per month to some fifteen Lebanese students, directly impacted by the situation in Beirut. This aid will be renewed for the next 4 months. Other recent applications are also being examined.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks once again for the spirit of solidarity our community has demonstrated in this difficult period for the Lebanon.
