A look back at the first-ever HEC MBA Giving Month
October 2020 was HEC MBA GIVING MONTH. The HEC MBA Program, the HEC Foundation, the HEC Alumni Association and the HEC MBA Afterwork team partnered up to organize this one-month fundraising campaign, with MBA Alumni only, to finance excellence scholarships for students in the MBA program today.
We are proud to share that 135 MBAs from 29 countries and 34 different classes (from 1971 to 2021!) contributed 82 000 € to support our scholarships program for MBA students at HEC Paris.
This is a great result for our first ever Giving Month, and we are very proud to see the MBA community come together across generations and countries to support MBA students at HEC today.
We were also very moved by the messages received from donors and shared on social media, a testimony of the strength and the solidarity of our MBA alumni. Given all the positive feedback that we have had received, we look forward to making the HEC MBA GIVING MONTH an annual event and beating these records next year!
As you can see on the left, in recognition of the donors contribution to the first HEC MBA GIVING MONTH, we put up a plaque with all the names of donors, in the MBA building on the Campus (S building).
Thanks to donations, each year we are increasing the number of MBA scholarships (120 students supported in 2019 vs. 98 in 2018), attracting the most talented students from all over the world, and in doing so, contributing to enhancing HEC Paris’s MBA reputation and attractiveness (for the first time this year our MBA reached the top 10 in the international rankings of the Financial Times).
A huge thank you to the entire HEC Paris MBA community for this great mobilization, which once again demonstrates the strength of our international HEC Alumni network!
Special greetings to the HEC MBA Afterwork team for their continued support in setting up and running this campaign.
See you next year!
