Special moment for 7 students from HEC Paris
As a generous benefactor of the HEC Foundation since 2006, committed to equal opportunities through his Sheltered Foundation created in 2018, Jean-Paul Agon (H78) took the time last Wednesday to come to lunch with the scholarship students he supports.
Since the creation of his Sheltered Foundation, the L'Oréal CEO has shown his determination to support HEC Paris' policy of equal opportunities and social diversity in a sustainable manner.
One of the main concrete initiatives of the Jean-Paul Agon Foundation is the award of means-tested scholarships to students on the Masters in Management or students who would otherwise be unable to do a course at HEC Paris for financial reasons.
It was over lunch on the HEC campus in Jouy-en-Josas that Jean-Paul Agon was able to meet 7 students on the Masters in Management, to whom he provides financial support through the Jean-Paul Agon Foundation.
The students got the chance to discuss his time at HEC and his career at L'Oréal, in addition to topics of fundamental importance to the School's future, from social diversity to key partnerships, making for a very special moment for them.
Thanks to the support of the HEC Foundation and its Sheltered Foundations, 18% of today’s students on the Masters in Management receive a means-tested scholarship. The Jean-Paul Agon Foundation will help us boost our efforts and we hope this initiative will serve as an example and inspire our community.
We warmly thank Jean-Paul Agon for his exemplary, dedicated and generous support!
