HEC Paris, Ecole Polytechnique Executive Education and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University launch a program in Entrepreneurship for Renewable Energies in Morocco
The program is intended for managers, researchers, engineers and start-up entrepreneurs from the renewable energy or energy sectors and for personnel from public institutions.
The program provides participants with dual expertise in engineering & entrepreneurship for the energy market in a context of energy transition.
22 participants have enrolled for this highly innovative, cutting-edge program, co-designed by Ecole Polytechnique Executive Education with the support of InnoEnergy, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University and HEC Paris. The first two modules are classroom based and taught in the Paris area, while the last one is taught at the IRESEN site in Benguerir. The Green Energy Park on its 8-hectare site is a unique campus with a 3,000 m2 in-house research institute housing several laboratories working in the field of photovoltaic or concentrated solar power. The IRESEN was one of the first research and development institutes in Morocco to be dedicated to renewable energies and is based in Benguerir, the country’s green city.
The course ends with an e-learning module and the submission of a professional project report.
Jean Michel Gauthier, a Professor at HEC Paris, and Bernard Drévillon, a Professor in the Physics Department at Ecole Polytechnique, are the program’s Academic Directors. Jean-Michel Gauthier is also Chief Economist Officer for Energy & Resources at Deloitte in Paris. He advises large energy corporations, governments and the European Commission. He is an acknowledged as an expert in the energy economy, energy markets and regulation.
Bernard Réveillon is a Director of Research at Ecole Polytechnique specializing in thin-film photovoltaic applications and nanomaterials. He is the author of some 30 patents for inventions and was also the founder of a Joint Research Team for large corporations working in the new energy sector and one of the project initiators for the Île-de-France Photovoltaic Institute.
