French-American Chamber of Commerce - New York and HEC Paris Announce Strategic Partnership to Promote Student Mobility between France and the U.S. 10 January 2017

The French-American Chamber of Commerce in New York (FACC-NY) and HEC Paris are pleased to announce a strategic agreement to boost student mobility between France and the United States. Together, the two renowned organizations will actively promote the FACC Foundation’s Serge Bellanger Business Scholarship Program, which benefits French and American students wishing to study on the other side of the Atlantic. The FACC-NY and HEC Paris will also increase cooperation on international career development programs, U.S.-based internships and joint events for the French-American business community in New York.

Since 2012, the French-American Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Serge Bellanger Business Scholarship Program has offered substantial scholarships to both American students studying at French business schools including HEC Paris, as well as to French students wishing to complete a degree at top universities in the U.S. HEC Paris and the FACC-NY will work together to generate awareness of this program among potential candidates.

By way of its vast network and its dedicated CareerConnect platform, the FACC-NY will match HEC Paris students with internship and career opportunities in the technology, media, entertainment, consulting and financial sectors in the New York area. As a “J-1 Visa Sponsor Partner Organization” to HEC, the FACC-NY will also facilitate these transatlantic experiences for globally-minded and ambitious professionals.

The FACC-NY and HEC Paris, along with the New York Chapter of HEC Alumni, will strive to identify synergies in their New York event planning and communication initiatives, with the goal of harnessing each organization’s expertise.

“This partnership marks a major milestone for French-American business cooperation,” said Elsa Berry, President of the French-American Chamber of Commerce and its Foundation. “By combining our respective resources, expertise and opportunities, the FACC-NY and HEC Paris are supporting the next generation of transatlantic business leaders.”

Peter Todd, Dean of HEC Paris, added: "This agreement formalizes our strong, strategic relationship with the FACC-NY. It allows us to offer the very best opportunities to our students across the U.S. and thereby supports our ongoing internationalization. Job placement and global expansion are key pillars of our strategy to launch HEC Paris into the top ten management schools in the world."
