Visit to the Campus of the National Polytechnic Institute of Yamoussoukro on January 24
In May 2017, HEC Paris and the National Polytechnic Institute of Yamoussoukro signed the Double Degree Course Agreement in the presence of H.E. Mr D. Kablan Duncan (Vice-President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, who inaugurated the first edition of AfricaDays@HecParis2017). On 24th January 2019, a group from HEC Paris was welcomed to the INP-HB campus by the Director General Mr Koffi Nguessan and his associates.
François Collin (Deputy Director for International Affairs) and Gabriella Mazzini (Director EMEA& Russia) met the Faculty Deans and presented the structure of DD, a course which will allow HEC Paris students to follow the Master in Management on the HEC campus on the condition that they first complete two years of preparatory study and a two-year bachelor's degree at INP-HB. Students will thus obtain their specialised diploma from INP-HB (as an engineer, for example) and the MiM of HEC Paris.
The two institutions are working together to give Ivorian students every opportunity to succeed in their admission. HEC Paris has set up an African Talent Support system to prepare students for the English language tests (Tage-Mage, Gmat, TOEFLou TOIEC), which pose the greatest obstacle for students. Koffi Nguessan has already set up English courses for DD candidates as well as periods of full immersion with academic partners in Ghana, where INP-HP students will spend one month per year practicing English.
Discussions also focused on new collaborative projects to be developed according to the guidelines of the Education Hub - an ambitious initiative resolutely led by SEM. Gilles Huberson, French Ambassador in the Côte d'Ivoire, and his teams.
