Aligner raison d’être et performance de l’entreprise Aligner raison d’être et performance de l’entreprise

Program overview

Defining a purpose or a strategic mission doesn't guarantee a positive environmental or societal impact, nor does it correlate into remarkable economic performance. What needs to be deployed to establish a competitive advantage, is leadership rooted in a purpose that unleashes collective action within the company. Moving from strategy to impact doesn't involve simply publishing ESG reports, but requires implementing contributive business models, governance, and organizational culture that unleash energies, reduce costs, and enhance the company's reputation with all its stakeholders. To succeed in transitioning from strategy to impact, the purpose requires specific embodiment and the activation of several levers uncovered by research at HEC Paris, which this program presents in the form of an easy-to-implement model: Clarity©.

Objectives

Differentiate between raison d'être, mission and values

Understand how to orchestrate a purpose-driven organization and define the associated KPIs

Identify the 7 levers of action to achieve the desired impact

Defeat the multiple obstacles that ruin efforts to align strategy, the embodiment of purpose-driven leadership and the achievement of objectives

Build an action plan to implement and manage a strategy based on impact and raison d'être

Program

The effect of purpose on corporate performance is null on average. However, under certain conditions, the financial and non-financial impacts can be multiplied.

Through the presentation of the Clarity © model, each lever enabling leadership embodying the purpose to access pockets of organizational performance is described.

Each impact lever can be broken down into concrete actions to facilitate teams' work and remove obstacles.

The orchestration of actions is enriched by peer-to-peer testimonials and shared concrete examples, so that each participant leaves with an action plan tailored to his or her company's situation.

Pedagogy

The learning methods are varied and complementary. The aim is to use participants' experience of their difficulties and successes in implementing their impact strategy; to get them to work on and react to in-house content, i.e. the cases and materials developed in S&O's Purpose Center and the Purposeful Leadership Chair; to work in groups and have access to peer-to-peer exchange of experience; to listen to the testimony of great leaders; to apply an action plan to their concrete case.
