Layal NABHAN has over twenty years of experience in the financial sector professional specialized in corporate and investment banking. She is currently Head of Sustainability for financial institutions and public sector, leading promotion and business development of Sustainable finance and ESG solutions for financial institutions globally across advisory, financing and investment businesses within a large French investment bank.
Layal works on structuring innovative financial solutions to help her financial institutions clients (including banks, insurers, asset managers, pension funds and private markets) to accelerate their transition and meet their Net Zero decarbonization targets.
Prior to banking, Layal started her career in business and management consulting. She has been involved in structuring and implementing large business transformation programs for several multinational corporate and investment banks. She has worked extensively within coverage, corporate finance, structured finance, and financial markets business lines.
Since 2011, Layal is involved in energy finance academic research, her area of focus is power generation economics, energy finance and sustainable finance. She is an active member of the Energy & Finance Chair at HEC Paris lecturing regularly on energy & finance topics at HEC Paris, and Ecole Polytechnique l’X. Layal is a graduate from the American University of Beirut where she majored in electrical engineering. She also holds a master’s in international finance and a specialized certificate in Energy & Finance from HEC PARIS.
